Related news?

I read this morning about the little monkey that managed to escape from his owner’s car and ‘terrorized’ (that’s what they say) an IKEA in Toronto. It’s an odd, yet amusing story, but that is it.

A few hours later, I found a report of that same story on Yahoo! News.

 

But look at the screen cap below. Particularly, the ‘related’ section. It talks about the tragic death of Jack Layton, the leader of the New Democratic Party, which happen a little over a year ago.

 

How is that related with a monkey let loose at an IKEA store? What is Yahoo! News trying to tell us? Even better, could they explain how those two stories are related? I just don’t get it…

Esta mañana leía las noticias sobre el simpático monito que se escapó del auto de su dueño y ‘aterrorizó’ (así decía el artículo) a la gente que hacía sus compras en un IKEA de Toronto. Es una noticia rara, pero divertida, pero eso es todo. Unas horas más tarde encontré el reporte correspondiente en Yahoo! News.

 

Lo que me dejó perplejo es lo que Yahoo! mencionó como ‘noticia relacionada’. Habla de la trágica muerte de Jack Leyton, líder del opositor Partido Nuevo Democrático, que ocurrió hace poco más de un año.

 

Cómo es eso relacionado con un mono que se escapa? Qué nos quiere decir Yahoo! News? Mejor aún, podrían explicar cómo cornos estas dos noticias se relacionan? Porque yo no entiendo…
