Day 3 in Bogotá

Anoche me quedé dormido tan rápido que ni tiempo a ponerme la máscara tuve. Me levanté 5:45 para ir al hot tub, y a las 7:00 bajé a desayunar. Salimos -en taxi- para el hospital a las 7:30 pasadas y llegamos a las 8:20. El viaje, como siempre, terrible debido al tráfico y las habilidades conductivas de los lugareños.

Tuve un mal día en el trabajo. Luchamos contra un servidor Solaris y no pudimos hacer que el upgrade funcionara. Mañana vamos a otro hospital, Colsanitas, así que este servidor va a tener que esperar por unos días. Estoy muy frustrado.

Almorcé muy livianito, una pechuga de pollo a la parrilla con una bochita de arroz. Y mi cena consistió de dos porciones de pizza a la piedra con queso y carne. La pizza estaba sencillamente espectacular, y costaba $2.700 la porcion (unos $1.60). Pero nuevamente, no pagué ni almuerzo ni cena. Me siguen invitando todo y me pongo mal...

Me fui al sauna y me vine para la habitación. Estoy rendido. Me voy a dormir. Mañana será otro día. Si es posible, mejor.

Apuntes de hoy:
* Poquito. Sólo que hoy agarramos un bache tan grande con el taxi, que me dolió la cadera. Y pensamos que el auto había reventado la llanta, pero no.
* Me estoy acostumbrando cada vez más a tratar a todo el mundo de 'usted'.
* Me enteré que a Panamá me voy el domingo, no el sábado. Y sólo viajamos tres de los ocho o diez que estamos aquí.


I fell asleep so fast last night, that I didn't even have time to put on my mask. I got up at 5:45 to go to the hot tub, and then went downstairs for breakfast at 7:00. We left to the hospital -in a cab- at around 7:30, arriving at 8:20. The trip, as usual, was terrible, due to the traffic and the driving skills of the local people.

I had a bad day at work. We fought against a Solaris server, but we couldn't make the upgrade work. We're going to a different hospital (Colsanitas) tomorrow, so this server will have to wait now. I'm very frustrated.

I had a very light lunch, just a chicken breast, grilled with a little white rice. My dinner consisted of two slices of meat pizza. The pizza was simply spectacular, and it costed $2,700 per slice (about $1.60). But once again, I didn't pay for either lunch or dinner. They keep inviting me and it makes me feel uncomfortable.

I went to the sauna and then back to the room. I'm exhausted. I'm going to bed. Tomorrow will be another day. If possible, a better one.

Notes from today:
* Very little. Just that we hit a pothole so big with the taxi, that my hip hurt. And we also thought the rim was gone, but no.
* I'm getting more used to treat everybody as 'usted' instead of 'tú' or 'vos'.
* I found out that I'm going to Panama on Sunday instead of Saturday. And it's just going to be three of us, instead of the eight to ten people we are this week.
