It’s Thanksgiving Day in Canada today. It’s probably my favourite ‘new’ holiday; of all the new celebrations we have now that we live in this wonderful country, it has to be one of which I relate to the most. It’s because we have so much to be thankful for!!! Family, friends, a great life here together… what else can one ask for?
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. It doesn’t matter if you celebrate it or not, it doesn’t even matter if you believe in these things or not. I bet you still have a lot of things to be thankful for.
El Día de Acción de Gracias es…
… el dulce aroma de una tarta de manzanas.
… oír cómo crujen las hojas al pisarlas.
… el sabor del pavo.
… ver los árboles de color dorado.
… la calidez de los abrazos.
Hoy es el Día de Acción de Gracias aquí en Canadá. Es probablemente mi preferido de los ‘nuevos’ feriados; es porque de todas las nuevas celebraciones que tenemos en este maravilloso país, ésta sea tal vez aquella con la que más me puedo identificar. Es que tenemos tanto que agradecer!!! Familia, amigos, una gran vida todos juntos… qué más se puede pedir?
Felíz Día de Acción de Gracias para todos. No importa si ustedes lo celebran o no, ni siquiera importa si creen o no en estas cosas. Seguro que de todos modos tienen algo que agradecer.

ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving! It is indeed a beautiful holiday, one that I miss celebrating with my family back home. I have introduced it to my Argentine family, and even though it's not "their" holiday, they have come to appreciate what it symbolizes (and all the good food doesn't hurt either!). I hope you had a lovely day with your family, Gabriel.
