We were at the Thanksgiving Day Parade last week. The marching bands are always a favourite of us, but I think that it was the two groups playing the steel drums that really impressed us this year, followed by a local country band named 'Moonshine', that were playing live in a very well decorated float (it even had an outhouse!).
Another marching band just followed, and you could tell Florencia liked it a lot; that became even more evident when they said that the marching band had members with ages ranging 'between 6 and 60'. Florencia turned and said to her mother right away:
- Mom! You could both join this band. You're like forty-something!

Estábamos en el Desfile del Día de Acción de Gracias el lunes pasado. Siempre nos gusta ir y admirar las bandas que marchan, pero este año los dos grupos que tocaban marimbas nos impresionaron muchísimo y muy bien, seguidos por una banda local de música country llamada 'Moonshine', que estaba tocando en vivo en una carroza muy apropiadamente decorada (hasta tenía la casita con la letrina del fondo!) :-)
En eso pasó otra banda, y fue evidente que a Florencia le gustó mucho; más notable aún fue su entusiasmo cuando anunciaron que esa marcha tenía integrantes cuyas edades iban ‘de los 6 a los 60’ años. Florencia se dio vuelta e inmediatamente le dijo a su madre:
- Mami! Vos podés ir con esa banda. Si tenés como cuarenta y pico!
What's she talking about? You're only in your twenties, right? :P
ReplyDeletePor mucho menos que eso, mis hijos no comen una semana. Hace unos dias escuché al grumpy decirle a un amigo: que te pasa? yo te gano porque mi mamá es mucho mas vieja que la tuya! Ay angelito, ven aquí que te asesino.
