My kids will tell you what they’ve done on Friday. I don’t know if you’ve followed the blog lately, but each one of them has been assigned a colour: you can then know when it’s Santi who says something, or Carolina, or Juan or even Florencia. Gaby has her colour too, and I have one for English and one for Spanish! :-)
“Hello, today we went to Horseshoe Ski Resort in Barrie, ON. I went skiing and went down two times, but I’m still OK. I had lots of fun and I wish I can go again”.
“The best part of the day for me is when I was going downhill, because I was going real fast. I wiped out one major time and I got stuck on a Black diamond hill (one of the most difficult ratings) for about fifteen minutes”.

“We are in a hotel and it has a swimming pool. I liked it when we were swimming. And we’ll have free breakfast tomorrow!”
“I went snowboarding today; it was really fun because we went through a lot of different snowboarding hills. I liked it when I went through the most difficult ones”.
We took the kids on a ski trip, driving 200 km from Waterloo to Barrie. There are a few ski resorts in here, and even though we loved the one we went today, we are planning to go to a different one tomorrow. Both Juan and Caro have free lift tickets for many ski resorts in the province (it’s a provincial plan for Grade 5 students; they give you a book for free, that contains coupons for many resorts. One of the coupons for each ski centre, you can only use it when you’re in Grade 6, so that’s why both kids had free lift tickets today).

A few days before, Florencia had told us that she wanted to spend a few days in a hotel, so imagine her excitement when we told the kids last Tuesday. On Wednesday evening, we were all watching TV downstairs when we realize Florencia was missing. I called her, to no avail. Then I sent Caro to look for her, and she finally came downstairs a few minutes later. When I asked her where she had been, Florencia replied: “I was packing”. :-)
We had a lot of fun today, and even though we ended exhausted, we’re still looking forward to tomorrow. We struck luck with the hotel room too, as we’re in a Holiday Inn that has a room with a little kitchen (which means we cooked instead of eating out!).
I’m tired now, I think I’m going to bed. I might fall asleep before midnight tonight!

Me divertí muchísimo, y espero poder volver pronto”.
Saludos.
