What is the most romantic movie that you've ever seen?
That would definitely be "Always", with Richard Dreyfuss, Holly Hunter and John Goodman (directed by Steven Spielberg). Only movie that has ever brought tears to my eyes. I loved the movie, especially since it features one of my favourite tunes of all times, "Smoke gets in your eyes". Distant second, "Ghost" with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.
If you could be the lover of any person alive other than your current lover, who would you pick?
I can honestly say "nobody but my wife", but just in the spirit of the meme I will go with one of the actresses I find very attractive; so my answer will be Jennifer Aniston. She's crazy for me as well, you know, but I have told her I'm happily married; that I was very sorry, but she couldn't even compete. The Brad Pitt/Vince Vaugh thing is just a big cover up designed by her press agent...
What scents remind you of a loved one?
The smell of jasmine reminds me of my wife, same as the smell of "Pleasures"; there are many other 'little scents' that normally remind me of my kids. The last one is an odd one: I have never smoked and I don't like cigarettes at all (especially their smell). But somehow I like the smell of a cigarette when it's lit in a car (but just for those 3 or 4 seconds until the killer smoke starts to emanate). That smell reminds me of when I was a child, and we would go out in my father's car.
Addendum: I read something at "Shades of MJ" that reminded me of another favourite scent: "Old Spice" aftershave also reminds me of my father. And that's probably the first olfactory memory I have had.
Manic Monday
Ghost is one of the best movies. I laughed and cried so much during that movie. I love the spin you put on the second question. Jennifer Aniston is a nice choice for you. Yes, cigarettes have a nasty smell to them. I don't smoke or care to smell the smoke of a cigarette either. Happy MM~
