(From Ecos Diarios, Necochea, ARG and NecocheaNet)The "Alfredo Marcenac" Civil Association has started a plan called "Say yes to peace" in which kids between grade 4 and 6 participated of games and a giant paint-a-thon. But the most important thing is that they encouraged the kids to turn their toy guns in, receiving real toys in return.
Nothing better than that. God knows I have never bought a gun or any other violent toy to any of my kids, and I normally turn down any gifts that are like that. To find out that something like this is going on in my hometown makes me really proud, even though I know that -as it usually happens down there- it's a reaction instead of a precaution.
Oh, and by the way, have you checked my home country's brand new portal, Argentina.ar?

Pero lo más importante es que los chicos fueron invitados a canjear sus juguetes bélicos por juguetes reales.
Nada mejor que eso para mí. Dios sabe que yo nunca les he comprado juguetes violentos a mis hijos, y normalmente rechazo regalos de ese tipo. Saber que algo así ocurrió en mi ciudad natal me llena de orgullo, incluso sabiendo que -como siempre pasa, lamentablemente- esto es una reacción en lugar de una precaución...
Oh, y a propósito, han chequeado el nuevo portal de mi país natal, Argentina.ar?
