It's our wedding anniversary today. I married Gaby on April 24, 1992, so that makes it fifteen years that we have been together. The best years of my life.
In all these years, we have never had a big fight, nor we have been mad at each other for more than a day. We are closer and stronger every day, and we have the most wonderful kids you could dream of: Santiago (almost 12), Carolina (10), Juan (8) and Florencia (3). We went through really hard times together (our accident, our first months in Canada) and we made it through them because we were together. Nobody -NOBODY- will ever come in between us.
We've been together for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health. In good times and especially in bad times. Hopefully, we will still be together until death do us part; I know it's selfish, but I just hope I go first, because I could not live without her.
In all these years, only two times we didn't start our anniversary day together at home. The first time was in 1998, as I was arriving in Bs.As. from New York that day. Gaby was waiting for me at the airport to tell me something that she hadn't told even her mother: she was pregnant (with Juan). The second time is today; I've been in Niagara Falls since Sunday night, but I'm going home tonight. However, Gaby's teaching, so she won't be back home until 9:00 PM.
Now that I think about that first time... Gaby, please, no surprises tonight, OK?
I love you.
